Planning consent has been granted this week for a new single storey home at Whitehouse Farm in Stanbridge, Bedfordshire.  The scheme will replace an existing commercial unit on the site.

The house has been designed to maintain a rural appearance, sympathetic to its location, incorporating horizontal timber cladding, brick and slate to provide a visual link to adjacent barns.  

At the rear, a metal roof is used to break down the massing of the property, whilst creating a relationship with the metal clad agricultural buildings commonly found in similar settings.
